East Metro Prairie-Style Custom Home Build

A modern prairie home built for everyday comfort and effortless entertaining-defined by strong architecture, abundant light, and refined finishes throughout.

Modern Prairie New Home

Stone, steel, and warm wood tones-balanced with spa-level amenities and clean-lined, modern craftsmanship.

Scope

This prairie-style modern home blends bold architectural presence with timeless restraint, inspired by the work of Frank Lloyd Wright. An all-stone exterior, distinctive soffits, and a sculpted front entry create a strong first impression, while the interior opens to expansive, light-filled living spaces. A large open-concept kitchen anchors the home, complemented by refined millwork, striking finishes, and spa-level amenities. Located in the east metro Twin Cities, this home was designed for both everyday comfort and entertaining.

Highlights

  • All-stone exterior with bold yet timeless detailing
  • Three bedrooms and four bathrooms with spa amenities
  • Large open-concept kitchen and entertaining spaces
  • Abundant natural light and high-end interior finishes

The Architectural Vision

This East Metro custom build was designed around strong horizontal lines, controlled daylight, and clean transitions between public and private rooms. The goal was to create a home that feels modern and calm without feeling cold, while still supporting daily family use.

The planning phase focused on massing, proportion, and durable material choices that hold up in Minnesota weather. Stone cladding, trim detailing, and window placement were coordinated early so the finished exterior reads consistent from every elevation, not just the front facade.

Inside, the layout emphasizes long sightlines, quiet circulation, and spa-level comfort in key living zones. That combination of structure, detailing, and finish sequencing is what keeps the final result cohesive from first impression to everyday use.
