About

Kuechle Construction Co. — a Twin Cities builder since 1974

Kuechle Construction has been building and remodeling homes across the Twin Cities metro since 1974. Same family, still headquartered in Plymouth. What that means on a job site: people who answer the phone, show up when it matters, and care how the work looks twenty years from now.

Our favorite projects come from homeowners who get curious about how the house gets built — those are usually the most fun ones.
Legacy

Most of our work comes from referrals.

That only happens when people trust the work and trust how they were treated while it was happening. We've earned that kind of trust one house at a time since 1974.

Standard

We build homes that feel settled.

Good work doesn't need to shout. It should feel right in the house and hold up for decades, which is usually how long our clients plan to live in it.

Trust details

The quiet credentials matter too.

Good construction trust is not built from a slogan. It is built from who is responsible, where the company is rooted, and whether the same standards show up after the first meeting.

Principal-led intake

Andy Kuechle reviews project inquiries personally.

That first read matters. Location, scope, timing, budget range, and fit are reviewed before the first call so the conversation can be direct instead of generic.

Licensed Minnesota builder

Residential building contractor BC005774.

KCC is a Minnesota licensed residential building contractor. The license number is listed in the footer because serious homeowners should not have to hunt for it.

Plymouth home base

Still operating from the west metro.

The office is in Plymouth, and the work runs across the Twin Cities metro — Minneapolis, Edina, Minnetonka, Wayzata, Eden Prairie, and the closer-in neighborhoods on every side.

What fifty years actually changes

What half a century in the trade is really good for.

A long track record only counts if it shows up in the current work. For us, that means fewer surprises, better communication, and finishes that still look right a decade later.

Calm

Experience should make a project calmer.

We've seen most of what a job site can throw at you. That lets us sort real concerns from noise, so you spend your energy on what actually matters.

Respect

We treat the house and the people seriously.

Your home matters. So does your daily life while we're in it. We plan the work so you can keep living, not camp around the crew.

Honesty

We'd rather underpromise than oversell.

If we're the right builder for your project, we'll say so. If we're not, we'll say that too, early enough that you can find someone who is.

Weekly updates

You'll hear from us every week, not just when something goes wrong.

A scheduled written update, every week, for the life of the project. Schedule, selections due, what's happening next, what's waiting on you. No silence, no surprises.

Fixed scope

We plan so thoroughly the project rarely strays from the original number.

Selections are chosen before we break ground. Allowances are real. Changes get priced and signed, not absorbed. That's how you avoid making expensive decisions under pressure.

One point of contact

The person who starts your project is the person who finishes it.

No hand-offs to a different project manager mid-build, no "let me find out who's handling that." The same family runs every project start to finish.

Who tends to be the best fit

Our best clients care as much about how it's built as how it looks.

Good projects start with honest expectations. If you care about how the work is run, how the people on site behave, and whether the house will still feel right in ten years, we're probably a fit.

Pressure-test us first

Check our work before you call.

Our Process page walks through how a project actually runs. The project stories show the work itself. The reviews are what homeowners say after it's all done. Read all three before you reach out.

See the process, review the work, and read homeowner reviews.
