Kevin Kuechle
The standard that built KCC.
KCC was founded on a straightforward philosophy: do honest work, respect the trades, and build homes that stand the test of time.
A Philosophy Built on Honest Work
Kevin Kuechle founded KCC in Plymouth, Minnesota in 1974 with a straightforward set of principles: do the work right, respect the people you work with, and build homes that last. Over the following decades, he built a reputation across the West Metro not through advertising but through referral, clients who returned because the work held up, and who sent their neighbors.
Kevin's approach established practices that still define KCC today. Scope before signatures, clear estimates tied to documented specifics, not verbal agreements. Trade respect, long-term subcontractor relationships built on consistency and fair dealing. Finish standards, punch lists carried through to completion, not dropped when the check cleared.
Those principles still guide every KCC project across the Twin Cities Metro. Learn more about the company Kevin built at our story, or see how we structure every project at our process page.
- Integrity in scope, pricing, and decisions
- Respect for the homeowner's daily routine and privacy
- Craftsmanship-driven trade relationships built over decades
- Finish quality that holds up, not just on reveal day
The Standards Kevin Set
The practices Kevin established in 1974 are the same ones that define every KCC project today.
Scope Before Signatures
Estimates tied to documented specifics, materials, sequences, allowances, and exclusions, before any agreements are signed. No surprises, no verbal approximations.
Trade Relationships That Hold
Decades-long relationships with the same plumbers, electricians, framers, and finish carpenters. Consistent partners produce consistent results.
Finish Quality That Lasts
Punch lists are carried through to completion every time. The job isn't done until every detail holds up to the same standard as the day the client walks in.
Legacy in Twin Cities Residential Construction
Kevin's legacy is visible in the homes KCC has built and renovated across Edina, Minnetonka, Wayzata, Plymouth, and Eden Prairie over 50 years. The company he founded continues to take on the same kinds of projects he cared about: architecturally distinctive custom homes, thoughtful whole-home renovations, and additions designed to belong to the homes they're attached to.
His son Andrew now leads day-to-day project management and client relationships, carrying forward the same quality-first standard Kevin established. The name and the approach are the same, because the work speaks for itself.
